Dr. Driggers and her team will explain the Standards Based Report Cards tomorrow night-there is a PowerPoint that all elementary schools must show.
We also have to have an Annual Meeting for Title I.
A representative from United Way is coming to recognize our contribution from last year.
We will hear more about Fall Festival as well! We’ll have a cake walk with a chance to win 2 free tickets!
The school will have 4 laptops set up for parents to gain access to the Infinite Campus portal-so they are able to see grades-these will be located in the Dolphin Diner.
Come receive powerful knowledge and plug in to the latest happenings and upcoming events at LFH!
Parents, you are invited to walk your child to school on Wednesday Oct 4th. If you live within walking distance of school, you can walk from home. If you live beyond walking distance, you can park at Forest Hills Golf Club starting at 7:40, and we will walk from there with a police escort.
Remember the fun of GA Walk to School Day ??!!!!
Let’s make this walk even better!! Go Dolphins!
Parents and Students: Log on to www.gaschoolstore.com for information on our Fall Fundraiser.
Our School Code is 4945275. And here is the LFH Fundraiser Form.
All orders are due by September 18th!!!
(Please note that the original due date was September 12th, but we’ve extended it to the 18th.)
And for those who need the additional coupon sheet, you’ll find it here: LFH Coupons.
Our next volunteer training opportunity will be on Thursday, August 31st at 10 AM. It will last for about 30 minutes and take place with the LFH Instructional Coach, Mrs. Douglas, in Room 6 of the Learning Cottage.
The training results in a volunteer card, which should be sent out around 2-3 weeks after the training. The cards will be given to students to bring home. Volunteers should keep their cards with them and sign in at the front office each time they work in the school.
Who needs a volunteer card? Anyone can get the card if they want to work with students; you do not have to be a parent or guardian. You must have one if you work with any student (other than your own) or with a small group of students. You don’t need them to attend field trips so long as you don’t work with or supervise students (other than your own) on the trip.
Also, as safety is a vital issue when it comes to volunteering, please note that a criminal background search is conducted before a card is issued.
